Tools, Resources, and Hot Topics

1

Learn about State Practice Laws

While currently there are no specific laws pertaining to the practice of Health Coaching, there are laws pertaining to the practice of Nutritional Therapy that are specific to each state.

We encourage our NTP and FNTP graduates to reach out to the Holistic Council, who is on the forefront of changing regulations and can offer the most up-to-date information.

PHWC graduates should stay connected to NBHWC, who can provide guidance should the landscape of Health Coaching regulation change.

Make sure you are receiving NTA updates

We often find that graduates are not receiving important updates from the NTA because they have unsubscribed from emails. To check your subscription preferences, please contact nta@nutritionaltherapy.com.

Are Continuing Education or CEU's Required?

As of 2020, Continuing Education or CEU's are not required to maintain the credential you've earned from the NTA. Your NTP, FNTP, or PHWC credential is yours to use for as long as you'd like to be in practice! We do strongly encourage, however, that our graduates maintain ongoing learning so that they may stay up-to-date with the latest information and research that is available.

7

Create your NTA Practitioner Directory Listing!

To get started, please go here to complete the Practitioner Directory Application. These details will become your listing, including the profile picture that you upload during the application process.

IMPORTANT NOTES: Rest assured, the email address you provide in your application will remain confidential and won't alter the one we have on record for you as an NTA Graduate. Instead, your Directory listing will feature a convenient "Send Email" button, allowing visitors to reach out to you securely. This ensures your email address stays protected from unauthorized use.

Also, we kindly request your NTP, FNTP, or PHWC certificate number during the application process. This information is crucial for our team to accurately match your records in our database, especially if your listing features an email address or last name that differs from our current records. Your certificate number will remain confidential and will not appear in your public profile.

After you submit your Practitioner Directory application, you will receive 2 emails:

  • "Verify Your Email Address With the NTA": Please note, this does not change the email address we use as your primary contact for NTA communications. This only verifies the email that you will receive inquiries that come from visitors to the NTA Practitioner Directory.
  • "Thank You for Providing Your Directory Listing": This is an email confirmation that your application was successfully received and is being reviewed by our team.
  • Please allow 72 business hours, not including holidays, for listings to be approved; you will receive an email notification when your listing is live!

Once your Directory Listing is live, you may login anytime to make changes as you'd like! Bookmark this login page where you may update your listing at any time.

To see all of your NTA colleagues who have joined the Practitioner Directory, you can visit the public-facing directory here!

No - the NTA Practitioner Network is an optional program and does not affect your credential.

Can I provide Lab Testing as an NTP or FNTP?

NTPs/FNTPs practicing in the U.S. or Canada have access to a wide spectrum of lab tests through Evexia and its Internal Physicians Network. With this service, you will proved a link to your clients where they can order and pay for the testing directly from Evexia, and this also gives them a discounted price.

How can I access the Lab Testing module that NTP students will receive in 2025?

Members of the NTA Practitioner Network will be able to access the new Lab Testing materials that will be included in the 2025 NTP curriculum, along with a webinar hosted by NTP Program Director, Krista McCafferty. The Lab Testing materials will cover:

  • SpectraCell Micronutrient Test
  • Doctor’s Data Adrenal Function Profile
  • KBMO 176 Food Inflammation Test (Finger Stick Kit)

Can international graduates access labs?

While Evexia can ship to Canadian graduates, they do not ship worldwide. We cannot determine what labs are available to practitioners in different countries, as the myriad of companies and regulations in each country vary. Our suggestion would be to reach out to your local lab providers and ask them to let you know which testing would be available or comparable to the labs that the will be covered in the NTP curriculum in 2025.
